Get ready for the 2010 Stewardship pledge drive!
March is the
month for the 2010 stewardship campaign, which raises money for the church's
2010-2011 operating budget. Sunday, March 7, is scheduled to be Stewardship
Sunday. Mark your calendars! This is your chance to think about what First
Parish Church means to you and how you can support it financially.
New this year: Cottage meetings
This year the
Stewardship Committee is planning numerous cottage meetings either at the church
or at individuals’ homes. These will be fun events with 10 to 20 attendees
gathering together to enjoy good food, companionship, and a thought-provoking
discussion about First Parish Church. We’ll have more information on this
exciting new format as the stewardship campaign approaches.

Planned giving is part of stewardship
Good stewardship doesn't end with the annual pledge drive. Remembering the
church in your will (also referred to as Planned Giving) is a special way to show your support for First
Parish
Church. The Stewardship Committee,
with the approval of the board, has formed the Elder Brewster Society, to honor
members and friends who have made a bequest to the church. If you have already
included such a bequest in your will or if you are considering making one and
would like to discuss the process, please contact Jim Hamilton. |
